• Die Darstellung der Bibliothek an die Entscheidungsebene in der Geschäftsführung wird oft nach der falschen Methode durchgeführt. Anstatt Zahlen aus der internen Steuerung des Geschäftsgangs der Bibliothek (oder der Informationsstelle) zu bieten, muss man sich auf die Denkweise der Geschäftsleitung einlassen und vermitteln, was denn die Bibliothek Substatielles zum Erfolg des ganzen Unternehmens/der Trägerorganisation beiträgt. Die Folien des Vortrages bieten hier die Ergebnisse einiger Untersuchungen als Einstieg, zeigen dann den Wandel im Controlling auf und zeigt dann mehrere Methoden auf, mit denen man die Leistung der OPL optimal darstellt. Danach folgen einige Fallstudien. Wichtig ist strategisches Management, wofür man im Arbeitsalltag angemessen Zeit einräumen es methodisch angehen sollte.
