Der Vortrag stellt die fachliche Entscheidungsfindung der sächsischen Hochschulbibliotheken zur Entwicklung eines Katalog 2.0 genannten neuen und benutzerorientierten Recherchesystems vor. An Hand dieser Entscheidungsfindung wird der aktuelle Entwicklungsstand eines klassischen OPAC bewertet. Der Weg der Eigenentwicklung wird mit dem Kauf eines fertigen Produktes verglichen. Der Vortrag endet mit der Entscheidung für das System Primo und der Kauf durch die SLUB Dresden.
Kurzfassung auf Englisch:
Classic OPACs haven’t much changed in the last 10 years. The presentation states this in comparison with the development of Google and other Systems. So the current problem of the Saxony Scientific Libraries is clearly formulated. Now the way how to solve the problem is discussed and the advantages and disadvantages of buying a product or developing it by oneself are formulated. The Presentation closes with the decision for the Primo system of Exlibris and the fact of buying it by the SLUB Dresden.
